Linda Alinda-Ikanza is a lawyer from Kampala, Uganda who has always been passionate about labour law. Since 2008, Linda has represented employers and employees in various capacities in both government and private settings such as boards, labour unions, labour offices, ministries and court. It is during these interactions that she is faced with the impact of un-resolved labour disputes on both workers and employers, the most affected of whom are those who cannot afford legal and or HR advice.
This reality ignited a desire in Linda’s heart to find a solution that prevents disputes at the workplace leveraging on technology. That is how Nkola App was borne. It is a USSD app which provides quick answers on workers’ rights and can be used by both workers and employers.
Linda also teaches at the Law Development Centre and her favourite people in the world are her husband Paul and their four amazing daughters!
