Harm is a Dutch entrepreneur working in legal technology since 2002. He received his law degree from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. After starting his career as a management trainee for the Belgium brewer AB Inbev, he founded the Dutch software company Effacts. In this role, he has been helping corporate legal departments to manage their legal matters by the use of smart technology. Over the years, Harm has been working on legal tech projects for a large number of international companies including Uber, IBM, ING Bank and TomTom. In 2015, the company was acquired by Wolters Kluwer. Harm is now working for the global business unit Legal Software. As a fellow of CodeX, the Stanford Institute for Legal Informatics, Harm is helping startups and research projects to advance the frontier of legal technology, bringing new levels of legal efficiency, transparency, and access to legal systems around the world.
